“And God saw that it was good.”
Six times as He created the world and everything in it, "God saw that it was good". God celebrated His work. Like Almighty God, godly leaders acknowledge and celebrate interim victories/successes. The desired outcome is the focus, but the design and process require ongoing affirmation and celebration.
Tell yourself and others “good job” at key milestones. These times of affirmation enable the godly leader to generate hope and encouragement and to avoid comparisons to the progress of others.
Times of celebration are like “rest stops” along the way, where you refuel, relax and refocus for the rest of the journey. They are like Sabbath days or Jewish feasts; they not only provide a moment of rest and joy, but also help us remember why we are doing what we are doing.
Stop and get an ice cream cone. Celebrate accomplishments during your process.
